Hari ini hari Isnin

Yes, true enough, today is Monday.

But, I'm not having any Monday blues? Miracle isn't it after all these years. Instead, I had rows of Sunday blues. Why? Because in Kota Bharu, working days start on Sunday.

Yesterday, it was the first day of another attachment to another department. The last and final rotation before the BIG EXAM in May. I'm back to where I was about 8 months ago, back to my own place, Department of Pathology. It should be known as Department of Surgical or Anatomical Pathology. But, because of budget constraint, they've shortened it to Department of Pathology (my theory). FYI, pathology actually consists of anatomical pathology, microbiology, haematology, clinical chemistry or chemical pathology, and immunology.

Embarassingly enough to say, my fellow senior collagues did not communicate with the rest of the other pathology departments on how to conduct the phase 1 master students. No saying that we need them to hold our hands and feet guiding us to the exam, but atleast, a proper structured learning programme, like others have done. Yes, we are matured students, but half of the class, had no experience in pathology! And yes we do need guidance.

So, as trainee lecturers who made up almost 1/4 of the class, sat down and thought hard on how to make this final rotation, more organised for everyone's benefit. I reckon it's a training process for the future.

My classmates, there are 14 of us. We grew closer each day. Not to say that, we've always been happily-ever-after since the course started back in June. There have been disagreement, fights etcetra, but we managed to cope with each other. We have one aim, to pass the final exam together, insyaAllah.

This is my Monday story. My head was spinning after sorting out the discussion subjects for the whole class revision session. My tummy ached because I had sambal belacan for lunch or, perut dah masuk angin, but it's resolving now.

Drama deme, drama kite

Malam tadi, saya ter-menonton lah satu episod kat sinema hidayah ni.  Mula lah, di kepala ni, saya duk complaint macam-macam tentang episod kali ni, rasa macam pengarah nya tak buat homework betul-betul. (ceh wah, macam bagus bebenor den!).

Gini, cuba-cuba la fikirkan ada logika kah?
1) Accident, ada head injuries, tapi bila bawak gi hospital, tak pun pakai neck brace.
2) Kalau keadaan pesakit tu kritikal, biarlah kekononnya patient tu incubated (masuk tube kut mulut utk bantuan pernafasan), bukannya nasal prongs (tube kecik yang masuk straight ke lubang hidung), dan adakanlah wayar-wayar yang connectkan ke ECG machine, ubat-ubat melalui drip. Baru lah nampak kritikal sket.
3) Paman yang 'warak' tapi kuku jari kelingking panjang.  (untuk tujuan korek hidung ke??)
4) Awek sorang ni masih tak sedarkan diri lepas operation, tapi mak oiiii, bulu mata siap ber-maskara lagi.  Waduhhhhh.....

Home Sweet Home.
Tak Sabar nak pindah ke rumah sendiri.

Happy Birthday Muhammad Darwish

Darwish had his first flying experience at the age of 16 days. Flying from Launceston to Melbourne, and Melbourne to Canberra. His Malaysian BC and passport was prepared in one day. I remembered, Darwish left a big poo in the Malaysian Embassy.

Flying back from Canberra to Melbourne took us an hour. Waited in Melbourne Airport for our midnight flight home. And Darwish, impressively, behaved in the whole flight. Mama and Papa waited for us in KLIA. This time. it wasn't me they rushed to, but their very first grandchild.

Baby Darwish stirred up excitement to the whole family because it had been 12 years since the last baby was brought back to the house.

2 months later, baby Darwish flew again. This time destination, Manchester, United Kingdom. Sheffield is an hour journey from Manchester. And that was where Darwish spent his 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th birthday.

Darwish 5th birthday was not properly celebrated because Mummy was still kelam kabut with the new job and starting a new life in Kota Bharu.

This year, he has grown up a little. Smarter than before, but of course, still has his baby tentrum, that drove me mad. But, we still love him to bits.

Happy Birthday Darwish.

Got 2 cakes, one from mummy and one from NekNah (neighbour mama, who happens to have same birth-date as Darwish's).
PS: Despite this, felt sad a little because cik abang is back in KB because of work.

Fiuh!

Finally!
I sat for my end posting exam yesterday.

I don't why, but since I started the attachment to Haematology Department, my spirits just soars a bit. I became demotivated, that I let my studying done in the last minute. Proven by, I completed my final case report about an hour before I started writing into this.

My exam? Theory part was not too bad, but the practical part was so-so. I might have failed some questions in the practical. Perhaps, I deserved it because for not putting much effort in some chapters of haematology.

And now, I am free as a bird. But only for a limited time. A week will do, to recover the aching brain cells!

Just now, I checked my email, and I am 'fortunate' to subscribe to an international malaysian doctor forum. Current discussion topic was, 'Shortage of Oncologists in Malaysia'. I felt like replying in these exact words, " Stop yapping!! Come back and help us at home!". Am I fair to said that, or I'll be labelled as plain rude?

Time to go home.

Reviving

Fuyoooo

Punya la lama tak masuk sini and update the blog.
Need a major refurbishment ni.

Saya rasa, ramai dah tak jenguk blog saya ni, sebab tuan rumah sendiri tak datang jenguk hinggalah hari ni.

Later...

Rumah baru yang sudah siap sekarang ini. Tunggu masa untuk masuk sahaja.
